I would give zero stars if possible. Some month's ago I took my Honda crv to this garage for my AC not working as it should. The answer was my condenser unit had a hole. Nothing else...just this. This research costed me $150. The car was however cooling good enough and I was not in a hurry so I used it for some more month's. I took it to this garage about 2 weeks ago to have this finally fixed since I had family coming over, and I did not want it to break while they were using my car. This $200 condenser installation costed me $850. Expensive, but I was told this is because this garage needs to pay a lot of folks. Anyhow if it is done well I am ok with paying a bit more. I was told that if the AC was not perfect I could bring it back within a week or 2 and they would double check their work. We drove all over the Westcoast of FL for 10 days or so, and the only complaint was that it sometimes was a bit warm starting up, or idling in front of a traffic light or so. 98% of the driving was cold. But I decided to take them up on their offer of having this checked. So it maybe could be a 100% cool. Got a call a day later that the compressor was broke and it would cost me $1800? They told me the AC problem was the condenser, but now something else? What did they check initially? Nothing? Aside from the condenser I guess. So Anyhow this car is not worth it, so I said that I would just pick up the car. It was 98% cool anyway. So I picked up the car...annoyed that they likely did not check anything else initially. They just saw the whole in the condenser and decided not to investigate any further, but what can I do? So I drive my car home and 0% COOL! Only hot warm air. I try it out for 2 more days or so, but nothing. ONLY HOT AIR. SO I drop the car of at this garage to find out why the AC only works 98% of the time, and I get it back working 0% of the time? I go back to ask why, and they say the AC compressor is broke (The $1800 Job). So I handed over my car with the AC working 98% of the time, and they say the compressor is broke. So it broke after me turning over my car to them. Somewhere between me dropping of my car and they returning it to me the compressor conveniently broke?? So either they broke it intentionally or accidentally, because mathematically it would be almost impossible to have it broken at that precise moment in time. But let me not be the judge of whether it was done on purpose or not. The fact however remains that I spend in total $1000 on this car to fix the AC, and I got nada. And this garage keeps on claiming that it is not their fault even though it happened while my car was in their custody. I would not take your car to this garage, because you might end up with a broken car and you have to pay for it....courtesy of Doral Auto Care.
